Join Alice at her home in Hawley for dinner and introductions on Friday evening, and then enjoy three days of intense discussion of what happens when we sing with and for each other.Based on Alice's book, The Anatomy of Melody, the small group will sing, analyze, compare and enjoy many tunes.Writing, teaching and performing are among the discussion topics, which will also explore the difference between what we hear and what we read on the page.The class will conclude Monday afternoon.
We will share the cost and preparation of our meals together.Housing within walking distance is available for Friday through Monday nights. We will supply transportation to and from the train at Springfield, MA or the airport at Hartford, CT for arrivals on Friday afternoon and departures on Tuesday morning.
