Progress |

|
Since the inception of the Alice Parker Recording Project in 1997, we have released three recordings: My Love and I, a collection of love songs for male voices; Listen, Lord, a cantata and collection of previously unrecorded spiritual arrangements, both on the Gothic Records label, and our latest: O Sing the Glories which was funded and published by GIA Publications, Inc. Angels and Challengers, which includes settings of poems by Edna St. Vincent Millay, May Sarton, Emily Dickinson, and Elinor Wylie is in the hands of a publisher, while A Family Reunion, a folk opera based on arrangements of early American hymns and folk songs is in the editing process. We look forward this year to beginning the recording of The Ponder Heart, Alice Parker's folk opera of Eudora Welty's prize-winning novella. We are presently in the editing process. The recording took place over a one week period at the beginning of May, 2001. |
